A dashboard range figure is not a measurement of usable battery capacity. Usable-capacity SoH compares measured current capacity with a stated initial reference under defined conditions. Record the display as context, then seek vehicle-specific evidence before relying on a seller's battery claim.

For UK used-EV buyers, as of 13 August 2026, a dashboard range prediction should be recorded as context rather than converted into battery capacity. The E2 Huo definition requires calibrated capacity and a reference capacity. One display cannot separate battery condition from its test cycle, temperature, route, charging conditions or other assumptions.
