Compare faster and slower public charging prices

Do not assume that faster public charging costs more or less than a slower option. Record current pre-start prices for both options under the same payment, membership, location and energy assumptions. Show no comparison when either observed input is missing, stale or outside the seven-day current-price limit.

For both options record the site or network scope, charging category shown by the source, payment channel, membership or subscription state, maximum p/kWh, timestamp, expected billed kWh and any separately stated third-party parking cost.

Apply the current-price gate

Call an observation current only for up to seven days and never beyond an earlier source expiry or displayed end time. Once stale, remove it from the difference, cost, saving, ranking, meta and recommendation outputs.

Compare one energy scenario

For each option, charging ceiling in pounds = observed maximum p/kWh × the same user-selected kWh ÷ 100. Add only matching separately stated costs, show assumptions beside the result and publish no winner when the inputs do not match.
